So How Do I Measure? I’m Confused
Make sure you order your grille, registers or diffuser with the horizontal opening listed first followed by the height
Width x Height
Ex: If the hole opening is 30″ wide by 14″ height, order 30×14
If the hole opening is 14″ wide by 30″ height, you should order an item such as RG3014 or RFG3014 this would be in the dimensions of 30 x 14
If the size of your measurements are not exact you can round up to the nearest even number.

Why do my grilles, registers, and diffusers rattle or make noise?
There are many causes for this problem.
One of the causes for this issue is the age and condition of your grille. As with all items, things break and eventually need to be replaced.
Your item may also rattle or vibrate if your ducts are not sized properly.
If your vent openings are too small for the size of your heater or A/C unit, the amount of air being pushed through the diffuser will cause the grille to rattle and shake.
Rattling grilles, registers, and diffusers can be a real nuisance, I hope we at ventsource.com were able to help you find the cause of this vexing issue.
What’s the difference between a steel vent and an aluminum vent?
The answer to this question depends on your needs.
Steel vents are the most common vent cover material used because of its durability, rigidness, ease of manufacturing, and of course, price factors.
Aluminum vents are less common in many parts of the country but are extremely popular in tropical climates such as South Florida and The Caribbean Islands. Homeowners like aluminum products because of its resistance to rust and corrosion as well its ability to repel mold and mildew. Humidity is a very important factor when deciding which vent cover to purchase. Steel vents may rust and corrode while an aluminum product can last for over 50 years without a sign of any rust, mold, mildew, or corrosion.
Many upscale homes also use aluminum products for its neat and clean appearance. With ventsource.com aluminum line, all our products are mitered at the seams, leaving a beatiful clean finish on anyone’s wall or ceiling.
